BILLO HOUSE RULES 🏡

To be the superstar creator, great delivery and communication fall under your responsibilities!

✹ You’ll have 5 days to upload your video after receiving a product.

✹ While chatting with a brand on Billo, remember to stay on the topic - questions and information should be relevant to the task being discussed.

Offering brands to work with you outside of Billo is forbidden, and it may result in your suspension.

Don't post your videos on your personal Social Media accounts.

HOW TO READ A TASK BRIEF? 📝

EDUCATE YOURSELF:

  • Let’s focus on the star of the show - the brand & the product you’ll pitch in the “Product description” section. If you need more information just find the product online and read the description there.

LET'S GET TECHNICAL:

  • Check the “Video Type” and "Model" you’ll need to film,

  • Next, “Duration” - the length of the video.

  • “Aspect ratio” - the dimensions of your video.

THE FUN PART:

  • The “Scenes” area explains what the brand wants you to do or include in the video.

  • “Mentions” is what the brand wants you to say in the video.

  • Always double-check if there is any juicy information in the “Additional Info” field.

The golden rule: stick to the deadlines, stay on topic and always read the task brief.

TIPS FOR BETTER AUDIO QUALITY 🎤

✹ TIP # 1: REMOVE THE OBSTACLES.

  • Check if your phone case or fingers aren’t touching your mic!

  • Keep a good 15inches distance from your mic. Don’t be too close or far away.

✹ TIP # 2: CHECK YOUR SURROUNDINGS.

  • To avoid reverberation: choose a furnished & carpeted room.

  • When recording audio only: head to your closet or place your phone between sofa cushions and build a fort-slash-recording studio.

  • Getting an external microphone is highly recommended: even the $10 clip-on mic will do the trick!

✹ TIP # 3: IF YOU DID GOOD, CAN YOU DO BETTER?

  • Use free apps to fix and customize your audio. If you’re an Apple user - VoiceRecordPro is solid. For Android, check RecForce II.

  • Make sure the whole video has a consistent audio quality: avoid quality changes in different scenes, when using different recording methods.

So, remember: remove the obstacles, check your surroundings, and always strive for the best quality.

TIPS FOR BETTER VISUAL QUALITY 🎥

Hitting “record” might be easy, but before doing it, ask yourself:

✹ HOW DOES IT LOOK?

  • Check out how your lighting looks.

  • Check if your camera lens is clean.

  • Check if there is enough space for you and the product.

  • Clean up any clutter in your background.

  • Consider filming yourself with the rear-facing phone camera.

  • Make sure to use a tripod, but sturdy places work great too!

✹ DID I DO MY HOMEWORK?

  • Make sure you thoroughly read through the brief.

  • Make sure to educate yourself about the brand and their product.

  • Always plan your video shot beforehand to eliminate the uncertainty.

✹ HOW CAN I IMPROVE IT?

  • Consider using jumpcuts to break a single take,

  • The first 3 seconds of your video are the most important, so don’t forget to have a spicy video opener,

  • Ask yourself if the message is clear and if all the scenes are fulfilled.

Once you check, prep and review - you’ll nail the process!
