When you collaborate with a brand on Partnership Ads, you’ll need to generate a Partnership Ad code. This code gives the advertiser permission to turn your Instagram post into a paid ad on Instagram or Facebook.
Before You Start
Make sure you:
Have a Professional account (Creator or Business).
Comply with Meta’s Branded Content Policies.
Use the Paid Partnership label when tagging the brand partner. Learn how
How to Generate a Partnership Ad Code
Publish your content
Post your video, reel, or story on Instagram.
Be sure to tag the brand with the Paid Partnership label.
Open the menu on your post
Go to the post.
Tap the … (three dots) in the top-right corner.
Select “Partnership label & ads”
Turn on Get partnership ad code
Copy and share the code
Copy the code (select Copy)
Share it with the brand through Billo so they can use it to run Partnership Ads.
Why You Might Not See the Option
You will not see the Generate Partnership Ad Code option if:
Your account is not set as a Creator or Business account.
You haven’t enabled the Paid Partnership label.
You don’t meet Meta’s eligibility requirements for branded content.
The post is not eligible (e.g., it contains copyrighted material or violates guidelines).
If the option is missing, double-check your account type and eligibility settings.
Go to Settings →For professionals → Creator tools and controls → Branded Content → Status → Set up branded content tools, and select Enable
How to Revoke a Partnership Ad Code
If you no longer want a brand to run ads with your post:
Go to the post where you generated the code.
Tap the … (three dots) menu.
Select Revoke Partnership Ad Code.
The brand will immediately lose access to run ads using that content.
Key Things to Know
A Partnership Ad code is valid for 60 days unless you revoke it earlier.
You must post the content on your account before generating the code.
Revoking the code does not remove the post from your profile.
