When a brand selects you for whitelisting, follow these steps to ensure a successful collaboration. 🤓
Step 1: Grant Whitelisting Permissions
As a creator, you need to grant advertising permissions to the brand you wish to collaborate with. This allows the brand to run ads using your handle while keeping your feed free from whitelisted ads.
1. When the brand adds you as a partner in their Business Manager, you'll receive a notification to approve the partnership:
2. Approve the partnership:
Note: If you do not receive the notification, follow these steps on Instagram to approve the partnership manually:
Go to Settings in the Instagram app.
Open Business Tools and Controls (or Creator Tools and Controls).
Select Partnership Ads.
Select Ad Partners—the partnership request should appear as a "Pending Request.
Step 2: Disable Ad Permissions After 30 Days
Partnership Ads do not have a predefined end date and must be manually turned off by you as the creator. Set a reminder to disable ad permissions 30 days after activation to ensure timely management.
