This guide will prepare you to get started making videos for brands and get paid for it. 😎

💡 First things first: VIDEO PITCH
Whether brands choose to work with you or not will depend on your video pitch. So, make sure it shows your absolute best!
IMPORTANT: You'll get another try to adjust your pitch immediately if it needs fixing; if you do not succeed on the second try, you would have to try again after 2 months.
📝 SCENES
Scene #1:
Briefly introduce yourself. Who are you? Why do you create content? Talk as if you're a Billo creator already. Film in half-body shot and speak directly into the camera.
Scene #2:
Do a short montage about you and your skills! Include video clips of your branded content, hobbies, pets, or favorite filming locations to show off your personality, interests, and skills. Overlay this part with a voiceover and tell why brands should choose you!
Note: if you don't have any branded content yet, it's fine - simply cover other topics.
Scene #3:
Call-to-action. Film yourself in a half-body shot, speak straight into the camera, and end the video with "Hire me for your next video on Billo".

DO's.
✅ Make sure you shoot in a well-lit place & choose a non-distracting neutral background.
✅ Make sure your audio is clear and crispy.
✅ Make sure you shoot your video in at least 1080p (1080x1920px).
✅ Ensure the camera is stable and at eye level.
DONT's.
❌ Do not add any text, filters, transitions, social handles, or music to the video.
❌ No AC, or background noises in your audio.
❌ Do not exceed the 30s.
❌ Do not shoot too close to the camera (give yourself some space).

Once your video is uploaded on the Billo Creator's app, our Talent Manager will review it within 7 business days.
✅ If the video fits our quality standards, you’ll be approved and ready to apply to tasks straight away.

Get yourself out there and show brands that you mean business, yet still having fun while doing it. Apply for the tasks via Billo Creator's app while clicking the tab “offers”.
More applications = more chances you get to be approved. On average you need to apply to ~30 tasks in order to be approved for one. So keep those applications coming!

First things first! Turn on your notifications so that you get updates on the progress of your task 💌
While the brand sends you their product and delivery process could take a while - create a game plan, be strategic, and plan how to execute your video beforehand. Save your time and ensure your video’s quality!
Brand Ships Out The Product 🚀
➝ Thoroughly read through the brief
Write down the duration/aspect ratio/scenes/mentions down. Plan out, what to say/do on each shot. We recommend doing some brand research, educating yourself on the product (why somebody would love to buy it). Get familiar with the message that the brand is trying to get across. Are they cool? Laidback? Authentic?
➝ Plan Your Video Shoot
Plan out the actual footage that needs to be shot. For example: introduce yourself, talk about the product while using some cool close-up shots, show the product in use, and then share your thoughts firmly.
Think of how you’re going to present yourself: there are certain scenarios, where the looks matter. For example, while reviewing skincare products make sure that you don’t wear makeup, have beautiful bare skin, etc.

How do I communicate with the brand?
Once you have been approved as a creator for a task, you can reach out directly to the brand 😎 This only applies to active tasks that you're working on.

Once you receive the product - you have 5 days to upload your content.
When You Receive The Product 📦
➝ Prepare Your Script
➝ Test out the product. Get familiar with it.
Shoot Your Video 🎬
➝ Double-check what aspect ratio are you shooting for (9x16, 1x1, 4x5, 16x9)
➝ Do test shots with the product
➝ Film yourself using the product
➝ Film different angles of the product
➝ Review your footage and check if you have all the shots you need for your final edit
Edit Your Video 📲
➝ Edit video to the length that was requested (15s, 30s, 60s)
➝ Consider using jump cuts to break one single take
➝ Review your final edit and check if the message is clear and fits the brief
🌸 The first few seconds of a video are crucial. Doing something that will catch the viewers’ attention immediately, engages them right away - shoot for it.
🌸 Give the necessary information and show the product clearly. Make it clear what the product is all about.

How long does it take for my videos to get approved?
On average brands approve videos in 3 days.
What happens if I don't upload the video in 5 days?
This affects your On-Time delivery score. You can read more about this here.
If you're experiencing any problems and are unable to work on the task, find the chat button on the Billo Creator's app and Inform the CS team about the situation and upload your video as soon as possible.
Our quality assurance team reviews the profiles that don’t meet the deadlines and suspend non-responsive creators. If you’ve been suspended and non-responsive - we’ll need to deduct the amount of the product price for the video you didn’t deliver.
What happens if a brand requests edits for the video?
You'll get an email about edits that need to be made and this task will show up in the app, To-Do section. Plan those edits and re-upload the video in 48hours.
THE VIDEO IS READY!
The easiest part - go to the task you’ve shot the video for and upload it!
Upload your videos via Billo Creator's app instead of sending it directly to the brands. If you communicate and send the video directly to the brand, Billo will not be able to make a payout to you.
IMPORTANT: don’t post videos on your social media, you only have to upload them on Billo Creator's app.
Pro Tip:
➝ Keep it tidy: upload all videos related to your projects to your storage folder. 📁
➝ Don't delete the footage yet, in case you'll have to edit the video.
PAYOUTS
How do I get paid?
Add your PayPal account details to your profile! 💰
You’ll get a money transfer for all of your approved videos twice a month.
Fun fact: on average, Billo creator earns 500 dollars per month. Our active creators earn double or triple the amount! Being active pays off 😉
How long does it take to receive the payment?
If you have a PayPal account in your account, the payments will be made every two weeks.
You'll receive your rewards the same day as our accounting team makes the transfer, the latest in 1-2 workdays.
Can I negotiate my rate?
Each task has a set rate (check payout and product giveaway value on tasks).
Yet we do have a bonus system for active creators!
From January 1st, 2022 you’ll have to get 20 videos approved/month in order to activate PRO creator status.
You’ll get a bonus for your 20+ approved videos in the first week of the following month.
Each month your base starts from 0 - so stay active to get that bonus going.🏆
