There are 5 main parts in creating a Brief.

  1. Select your product — Add the product or service you want creators to feature in their videos. You can only select one.

    • Paste your product URL if you have one.

    • Select one from 'My catalog' - these are products you've created within Billo platform.

  2. Video — Customize the primary parameters of your creator video and set up your script.

    • Parameters - this includes duration, aspect ratio, and the option to add Organic posting.

    • Create your script - you can either create or upload your own script, or use our AI-generated brief.

  3. Organic posting and partnership ads — Get a 30-day organic post on the creator’s Instagram or TikTok for extra reach and credibility. Add partnership ads to run the same post as an ad from their handle.

  4. Add-ons

    • Editing - Basic editing is included. Add AI captions or use Billo expert editing to boost engagement and stop rate.

    • Photos - Add a 4-photo set per creator to use in your marketing: product shot, thumbnail, selfie, and product-in-use.

    • Vertical + Square crop - Two extra aspect ratios, perfect for Meta placements. In 4:5 and 1:1.

  5. Campaign visibility and requirements

    • Campaign visibility - All creators can see this brief and apply. You can also invite selected creators.

    • Requirements - Specify criteria for creators to define who is eligible to apply.

    • Screening questions - This feature allows you to ask questions that creators will answer when applying to a task. You should use it when you need to confirm or get certain info from creators before approving them to work on a task.

Creating a Brief and Starting Your Campaign

To create a brief and kick off your project:

  1. Go to Manage campaigns.

  2. Select Brief and then New campaign

  3. Fill in your brief details and publish to start your project.

Once you've reviewed and approved creators for your brief, the corresponding task will be generated automatically.

Brief Submission Guidelines

To ensure a smooth collaboration between brands and creators, all necessary information must be included in the brief when creating a task.

Key points to remember:

DO's

✅ The brief should contain all essential details, including the script and specific requirements for the video.
✅ Clients must use the designated fields provided when creating a brief—this helps ensure clarity and consistency.
✅ The brief is visible to creators before they apply, allowing them to determine whether they meet the requirements and can deliver the requested content.
Creators cannot add text, graphics, animations, and music to the video. If you want a version with these elements, select Editing Services when creating a brief.

DONT's

🚫 Please do not provide the brief only after the creator is selected. If you have a separate prepared brief, you can upload it as a PDF file. Stick to the guidelines provided

🚫 Do not provide an external link to your brief. This may not be accommodated by the creator.
🚫 If the script, key requirements, or other important details are shared outside of the Billo brief (e.g., via chat or in an external link), Billo cannot guarantee that the brief will be followed or that any edit requests will be honored.

  • Please fully utilize the fields provided in the task brief and include the complete script directly within the designated section. This ensures that creators clearly understand the task before applying and are able to follow the instructions accurately.

  • You should never include statements like “Script will be provided later,” as the brief must contain the full script at the time of the creator application.

🚫 Creators cannot provide RAW clips. We cannot ask creators to upload separate clips or videos to external drives (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) If you need additional footage or require b-roll, you must create a brief and provide specific, detailed instructions on the shots required.

🚫 Please do not include multiple hooks in your brief. Each brief can only have one hook. If you want multiple hooks, please ensure that you are selecting the Get 4 videos with different intros add-on upon approving the creator. Here you will be asked to provide the script for the additional hooks.

By keeping all instructions within the brief, clients set clear expectations from the start, minimizing misunderstandings and ensuring a smoother content creation process.
